WELCOME TO THE PAINTED PORTRAIT

The time-honored tradition of acquiring a painted portrait is again rising in popularity.

With renewed interest in the art of portraiture, organizations as well as private individuals are commemorating outstanding achievements and special events with commissioned portraits.

In time, some of them may also become cherished family heirlooms. 

Perhaps you too would like to consider having a portrait done. 

If so, allow me to bring samples of my work to your attention, which are displayed on this website. 

I am a professional portrait painter with many years of experience, represented in the listings of " Artists in Canada " at the Library & Archives of the National Gallery of Canada in Ottawa, and the Research & Reference Library of the Art Gallery of Ontario in Toronto. 

My previous work includes notable members of the academic and 
business community, as well as individuals from the private sector, here and abroad. 

When commissioned for a portrait, I first take photographs to establish a mutually acceptable pose and composition with the client.  This also helps to avoid disagreeable surprises later on.

Sittings are kept to a minimum, if so desired, to accommodate time schedules and the least involvement of the client.
Due to my experience, I am equally at ease working with sittings or entirely from photographic material when necessary.

Upon completion, reasonable requests for adjustments are readily met to assure customer satisfaction with the finished portrait.
